The Secretary General of the Islamic Union of Iraqi Turkmens ( IUIT), Jassim Mohammed Jaafar, attended a condolence gathering held in Al-Numaniyah District in memory of His Eminence Sheikh Mohammed Redha Al-Numani, where he extended his condolences to the late scholar’s family and mourners.
During the gathering, Al-Bayati paid tribute to Sheikh Al-Numani’s distinguished scholarly and jihadist legacy, recalling his close association with Martyr Ayatollah Sayyid Mohammed Baqir Al-Sadr and his contributions to documenting significant chapters of the late cleric’s life. He also highlighted Sheikh Al-Numani’s deep appreciation for the Turkmen community and his acknowledgment of their role in facilitating his departure from Iraq during the former regime.
Jaafar said the Islamic nation had lost, with Sheikh Al-Numani’s passing, a distinguished scholar and courageous figure, praying that Allah grant him His vast mercy, admit him into His eternal paradise, and reward him abundantly for his lifelong service to Islam.
