The Iraqi Turkmen Islamic Union marked the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), which has become one of the world’s largest religious and humanitarian gatherings, drawing millions of pilgrims from Iraq and abroad.
The Union said that the solidarity demonstrated by pilgrims of different nationalities and countries embodies unity and human compassion, while reflecting the universal message of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in upholding justice and righteousness.
The Union noted that the arrival of pilgrims from around the world to Iraq to visit Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) carries significant humanitarian and diplomatic importance alongside its religious dimension. It described the pilgrimage as a bridge for bringing peoples closer together and an opportunity to strengthen Iraq’s international relations and standing. The Union also commended the efforts of government institutions, security and public service agencies, holy shrines, and Husseini service processions in serving the pilgrims.
Peace be upon Hussein, upon Ali ibn Hussein, upon the children of Hussein, and upon the companions of Hussein.
